AKPole Studio is currently seeking pole instructors, administrative and management staff, housekeeping support, and social media specialists.

Joining the AKPole Instructor Team

1.    Start with Training – New instructors begin with the AKPole Teacher Training Course

Exceptions apply for candidates who:

  • Have 2+ years of teaching experience, or

  • Plan to teach high level tricks classes or pole choreography classes, or

  • Can demonstrate extensive pole knowledge and high-level teaching skills. Steps 2-3 also skipped.

 2. Step into Subbing and hosting Pole Parties.  After training, you’ll join our substitute instructor list, and enter pole party host position, giving you the chance to get comfortable teaching our students and classes.  For those eager to start teaching right a way, we also offer a fast - track option: taking classes at a special discounted rate.  This helps new instructors quickly to get to know our community, student levels, and studio structure - even if sub requests or pole parties don't come in often. 

3.    Grow into Your Role – Once placed on a regular schedule, instructors enter a probation period of up to 9 months, with plenty of support and feedback along the way.

Compensation:

  • Instructors with under 2 years of teaching experience typically offered $18–$30 per class.

  • Instructors with 2–5 years of teaching experience typically offered $35–$40 per class.

  • Instructors with 5+ years of teaching experience typically offered $40–$50+ per class.

Higher rates may be offered based on demonstrated teaching ability, and overall skill set.

  • Pole Party pay is $60 per party.


Final pay rate is confirmed after a teaching evaluation or trial class and probation period.

Introduction Level Instructor Position

This role is designed for students with a minimum of 6–9 months of consistent pole training who are ready to begin developing teaching skills and work with beginner students. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, coachable, and excited to help brand-new students start their pole journey in a safe and supportive environment.

Intro Level Instructors teach following classes:

  • Pole Tricks Level 1

  • Intro to Pole Course

  • Pole Choreography Level 1

  • Pole Parties

Candidates applying for this position should be prepared to commit to teaching for a minimum of 6–12 months after completing training, as developing strong beginner instructors requires time, consistency, and practice.

Teacher Training Options

Partial payment options available.

Self-Paced Training – $399

  • Video training materials

  • 4 apprenticing classes

  • No instructor feedback

  • Training can begin anytime

In-Person Training – $699

  • 8 hours of in-person training

  • Conducted over one weekend (4 hours Saturday + 4 hours Sunday)

  • 8 apprenticing classes

  • 1 month of post-training feedback support

  • Scheduled individually

Candidates who successfully complete the training and demonstrate strong teaching ability may be offered immediate teaching opportunities at AKPole Studio, as schedule availability allows. We currently have Introductipon level classes available for new instructors.
